How we can help you

We can all face troublesome situations or tricky decisions at some point in our publishing career. I know I did. With my years of publishing and management experience, I can give you a little help to find the right solutions.

Consultancy services: answers to your key business question

· Before you leap into developing learning resources for a new sector or subject area, I can advise on publishing strategy and help to define your target market and ‘must-have’ product features for your new title.
· Need to ensure that all your new products are out on time to gain maximum competitive edge and optimise their success? Are your internal processes up to it? Is your team ‘switched on’ to on-time delivery?
· I can organise in-house interviews, team workshops, and questionnaires to sound out fresh answers to old problems.

Extra publishing power: clear the backlog

· Pushed for time? In-house resources run dry? We can project manage time-critical products and engineer on-time delivery with effective author management techniques.
· You may be without a key member of staff for a period of time. With bags of experience of interim management, we can help plug the gaps and keep your publishing on track.
· Where we’ve carried out the research, we can often provide follow-up consultancy to bring projects to concept stage and create a market-led author brief to direct authors to create the product you know the market needs.

Mentoring: get you or members of your team up to speed quickly

· Fast track your new, less experienced team members to achieve their goals and consolidate their publishing strategy in double-quick time.
· Focus publishing expertise where you need it, when you need it.

· Do you wish your publishers and editors knew more about how to carry out market research? I can provide in-house training on researching the educational market, and publishing and editing resources that will sell. I tutor a one-day course for the Publishing Training Centre ‘Market Research for Educational Publishers’ which is usually run twice a year.

The confidentiality stuff

I carry out every project with the hope of you being so pleased with the results that you will choose to work with me again. I know this long-term relationship will only be sustained if it is founded on your trust in me carrying out the work with the highest standards of confidentiality, discretion and professionalism. I will guarantee this.

As a member of the Market Research Society, I identify with their core values of professionalism, excellence and effectiveness and comply with the Code of Conduct.
